Welcome to Jays From the Couch!
Welcome to your new “go to” spot for Toronto Blue Jays coverage and the home of the Jays’ Nest Podcast. We know that there are several great places out there. However, over time, we are confident that you will enjoy your time at Jays From the Couch.
Founded by Shaun Doyle, Jays From the Couch is dedicated to providing Blue Jays fans with the best experience possible. Building on the success seen as Senior Editor at Jays Journal, Shaun is focused on the reader’s experience. When you come to Jays From the Couch, you can expect to read quality analysis and opinions without being inundated with ads, popups, and other distractions.
Shaun will be joined by Ryan Mueller, who has an extreme passion for the Blue Jays’ minor league system. His passion often means that his opinions are heavily skewed toward prospects. For the reader, that means that you can bet that Jays From the Couch will not forget about minor league coverage. Ryan has worked very hard developing relationships with many minor legaue players, which will help us bring you unique coverage.
As well, Jays From the Couch welcomes Ryan Andrews, who’s been blogging about sports since high school, writing on FOX Sports as well as his own Tailpipe Sports blog. He comes off successful stints with Plarko and Jays Journal to contribute to Jays From the Couch. Spencer Redmond will also be joining the team. He is a sports management student at university of Wisconsin who loves baseball and basketball. Wade Black will also be bringing his talents to Jays From the Couch. He’s a long time baseball fan who has been involved with the game for over 30 years. Including as a former college player, amateur coach, and blogger. Be sure to give them all a follow!
You will find solid coverage here. We are dedicated to opening discussion and debates with thought provoking insight by using analysis. You won’t find outlandish claims or “click bait” here. We are not focused on churning out content for the sake of pageviews. Rather, we believe that fans will come back because the content is solid.
It goes without saying that ads are a part of the business. However, we are making a promise to our readers that ads will never interfere with your reading experience. Quite simply, the revenue from ads is just not why we are doing this. It helps with running the site, but it should not, and WILL NOT, be the focus. Not at Jays From the Couch.
We know that in order for our site to grow, we need you, the reader. We want to hear from you! Please feel free to reach out to us with any feedback, questions, comments, etc. You can follow us on Twitter or leave your comments on every post!
Thank you very much! Go Jays!
