TORONTO BLUE JAYS SOCIAL MEDIA BUZZ: Pre-Season Workouts and Off-Season Honors

The Toronto Blue Jays players are spending their last free weeks working out, hanging out and giving back to their communities.

We scoured social media to bring you the best the Internet has to offer in this collection of Toronto Blue Jays Social Media Buzz.

Guess What Time it Is?

That’s right, the trucks are already loaded up and moving out – next stop Dunedin and Spring Training!

Offseason Workouts

Francisco Liriano was getting his workout on in Florida last week…

Marcus Stroman is also getting his workouts in…

Meanwhile Ryan Tepera was working on agility – while also getting in on a little friendly competition in the Dynamic Sports Training Houston’s Ping Pong for Charity tournament. He won the “staff” championship while helping raise funds and goods for the Houston Food Bank.

Russell Martin got in a workout with a group of kids participating in one of the Baseball Empire Performance Camps. Martin is an investor in the company, which is operated by his best friend and right-hand-man, Ivan Naccarata.

And while it wasn’t baseball, Josh Donaldson got in some cross-training a few weeks back, hitting the links with pro-golfers Blair O’Neal and Lexi Thompson.

Enjoyed the final round with the likes of @blaironealgolf @lexi these ladies are good. #nikegolf @diamondresorts

Ryan Goins might need to strengthen his neck a little to support the weight of the new bling his picked up from Kilani Jewellry recently. They also did a custom HDMH piece for Stroman earlier in the offseason.

And in his second tweet ever, Ezequiel Carrera offers fans just a peek into what his offseason training is like…

Special Delivery

Mike Bolsinger, who joined the Jays mid-way through 2016 and could play a key role in the bullpen in 2017, announced recently that he and his wife are expecting a little baby Bolsinger this summer…

Hometown Honors

Roberto Osuna recently received quite the recognition, Athlete of the Year in his native Mexico!

Aaron Sanchez was honored in his adopted home of Canada as well – he’s the cover athlete for the Canadian version of MLB The Show!

Marco Estrada was the guest speaker at the first ever Long Beach State Dirtbags Fan Fest over the weekend. The event, according to a LBSU press release, is a chance for  “our boosters, alumni, fans and community can come out to see the upgrades up close and personal.” Those upgrades include the Tulowitzki Batting Facility. Estrada spoke about his baseball career to date and generally thrilled fans in attendance with his approachability and down-to-Earth attitude.

Biagini Fix

While we await breathlessly for the moment Joe Biagini joins social media (or at least lets us in on the fun), he hung out at the Vancouver Canadians’ Hot Stove Luncheon where he participated in various interviews and meet and greets and undoubtedly shared his zaniness with many.

Inspiration from Grilli

Jason Grilli has a great Instagram and twitter feed filled with inspirational messages. Here, in this NSFW dubsmash, he shares his upbeat way of welcoming the day – lol!

Rise and Grind!!! 😂#comingtoamerica #throwback
