The Toronto Blue Jays minor league system went 2-for-2 Monday, May 21st. The Fisher Cats were off and the D-Jays were rained out.

Bisons won 8 to 5.

Starter- Chris Rowley 6.0IP, 6H, 4R, BB, 2K, and 2 HRA in  93 pitches

  • Buffalo’s Leblebijian (1-for-4 HR, a runs scored, and RBI). Tellez (2-for-3, HR, SB, and 3 RBI).
  • Lansing’s Diaz picked up his 5th win with a strong outing. Chavez Young had triple and a game-saving diving catch in the late innings.

 

Monday, May 21st POD goes to Tim Lopes.

 

Tim Lopes was batting third and playing second base for the Buffalo Bisons. He went 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored, a triple, 2-RBI, and 2 stolen bases.

 

Tim Lopes singled in the 1st inning, pushing Dalton Pompey from 1st base to 3rd base. With Danny Jansen at the plate, Tim Lopes stole 2nd base, made it to 3rd base on a throwing error, and stole home plate to tie the game a 2-2. The stolen bases were Lopes’ 6th and 7th.

 

His next at-bat came in the 2nd inning. Lopes tripled, scoring Darnell Sweeney and Roemon Fields. Tim Lopes scored on a Rowdy Tellez groundball.

 

The 23-yr-old infielder lined out in the 4th inning and flew out in the 7th inning in his final two at-bats.

 

Christian Lopes younger bro is batting a healthy .330 with 7 doubles, 2 trips, 9 RBI, and 7 stolen bases. His career numbers are solid and worth of 40-man roster spot.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette were off on Monday.
