The Bisons’ starting catcher went 3-for-5 with a run scored, three doubles, and three runs batted in.
The 23-yr-old catcher flew out in the 1st inning and popped out in the 4th inning.
With the game out of hand, Danny Jansen stepped to the plate with score 11 to 2, one out, and nobody on base. Janse lined a 1-1 pitch into left field. Jansen scored as Anthony Alford reached base on a fielding error.
Jansen doubled in the 8th with Rowdy Tellez at second base and Richard Urena at third base and no one. Jansen’s 10th double scored Tellez and Urena to make it an 11 to 5 game. Jansen was stranded at second base.
The former 16th round pick had one final at-bat in the 9th inning. With two runs already across, Dalton Pompey on second base, 2-outs, and the score 11 to 7, Danny Jansen hit his 11th double to drive in Pompey.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. would ground out to end the game.
On the season, Danny Jansen is batting .312 with 11 doubles, a triple, two HR, 19 RBI, 17BB, and 16K. He also owns a 0.910 OPS.
Bo and Vlad Show
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. DH’ed on Thursday. He hit solo home run in the 5th inning, his 9th of the year and 46th RBI. Vladdy also picked up a single to finish 2-for-4 and is batting .427 with 1.186 OPS.
Bo Bichette went 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored, 2-RBI, a stolen base, and HR. Bo’s HR came in the 5th inning with one man on and one out. It was his 2nd HR and his 16th and 17th RBI. Bichette now has 10 stolen bases. Bichette is batting .250 with .714 OPS.
