On Sunday, May 27th, the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system won 3 games and lost 2 games. The Bisons won both ends of a doubleheader. Jordan Romano and Patrick Murphy made their debuts at Triple-A and Double-A.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats (30-18)

 

Fisher Cats won 3 to 2.

 

Starter- Patrick Murphy 6.0 IP, 4H, 2R, 3BB, and 6K on 96 pitches in AA debut.

Note: Sean Nolin took the loss for the Hartford Yard Goats. Nolin is a former Blue Jays farmhand and Fisher Cat. Nolin was part of the Josh Donaldson trade.

Sunday, May 27th POD goes to Richard Urena.

 

The Bisons middle infielder played both ends of a doubleheader, playing 2nd base in both games. Urena went 3-for-5 with 2 runs scored, 1-HR, and 3-RBI in game 1. He went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored, and a walk in game 2.

 

Game 1

 

Richard Urena homered in his first at-bat, cashing in Roemon Fields who walked to leadoff the game. The 22-yr-old singled and scored Darnell Sweeny in the 2nd inning to put Buffalo ahead 3 to 1.

 

In the 6th inning, Urena singled and scored on an Anthony Alford single to make the score 9 to 2 for Buffalo.

 

Game 2

 

The native of San Francisco de Macoris, DR singled and scored in the 1st inning and singled and scored in the 5th inning.

 

Overall

 

The switch-hitter is batting .306 with two doubles, a triple, 1-HR, and 5-RBI with the Bisons. Over the past 10 games, Urena is batting .282 with 8 runs, 1-HR, and 5-RBI.

 

Bo and Vlad Show

 

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was given the day off.

 

Bo Bichette went 1-for-3 with an RBI (22), a walk, and stolen base (11). Bo is batting .261 with .758 OPS. Over the past 10 games, Bo is batting .250 with 2-HR, 8-RBI, and 2-SB.
