Monday, May 28th POD goes to Ryan Borucki

 

Toronto’s top pitching prospect has had a rough start to his 2018 season. Borucki threw 64 of his 93 pitches for strikes while getting 6 groundball outs and 3 flyball outs.

 

The 24-yr-old had 1-2-3 innings in the 1st, 2nd, and 4th. He allowed a run in the 5th after allowing a Wynston Sawyer single, a Nick Buss double, and a Jermaine Curtis sac fly which tied the game 1-1.

 

The 6-foot-4 lefty allowed another run in 6th, his final inning, allowing Nick Gordon to scored via a Kenny Vargas sac fly.

 

Overall, Ryan Borucki record stands at 4 and 5 with 3.51 ERA with 18 walks and 44 strikeouts over 51.1IP. The former 15th rounder has made 9 starts holding opponents to a .239 batting and 1.23 WHIP.

 

Bo and Vlad Show

 

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was batting 3rd and playing 3rd base. He went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a double, 1-RBI, a stolen base, and a strikeout. VGJ owns a .433 BA with 1.194 OPS and 50-RBI. He now has 3 stolen bases in 6 attempts.

 

Bo Bichette batted leadoff and went 2-for-5 with a run scored, and a stolen base. Bo is batting .264 with 37 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 16 attempts. Bichette is batting .289 with 2-HR, 8-RBI, and 3-SB over his last 10 games.
