Wednesday, May 30th POD goes to Connor Panas

The 2015 9th round pick went 2-for-3 with a run scored, a double, a home run, a run batted in, and a strikeout. Panas struggled in April (.200 with 2-2B, and 1-HR) but batted .253 with 6-2B, 1-3B, and 1-HR in May.

After striking out in the 2nd inning, the 6-foot-0 outfielder doubled (8) to lead off the 5th inning but was left stranded on 2nd base.

The Toronto native hit his 2nd home run in the 7th inning, his final at-bat, to tie the game at 3-3.

Overall, Panas is batting .229, 8 doubles, a triple, 2-HR, with 13-RBI but is batting just .182 over his last 10 games. Panas is having trouble hitting right-handed pitching (.202 BA) but has hit left-handed pitching really well (.324 BA) might be time to think about a platoon.

Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. played 3rd base and batted 3rd, snapped a 10 game hit streak and 28 game on-base streak going 0-for-4. VGJ is slashing .417/.465/.701 with 11HR and 53 RBI.

Bo Bichette batted leadoff and started the game at 2B. He went 1-for-4, scoring a run and a stolen base. Bichette is batting .269 with 3-HR, 12 doubles, 3 triples, 23 RBI, and 15-SB. Bichette is batting .316 with 6 stolen bases over the past 10 games.
