Friday, June 1st POD goes to Turner Larkins

The Lugnuts starter had another strong outing. As a starter, Turner is 3-4 with a 3.79 ERA. Out of the bullpen, Turner is 1-0, with a 3.38 ERA.

The 6-foot-3 righty finished with a game score of 76 throwing 57 of his 87 pitches for strikes. He got 6 groundball outs and 6 6 flyball outs and owns a 1.00 GO/AO on the season.

Last years 21st round pick allowed a single base runner in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th innings. He had 1-2-3 innings in the 3rd and the 6th. Larkins struck out 5 batters on swinging strikes and one batter was caught looking.

Overall, Turner Larkins owns a record of 4-4 with a 3.72 ERA over 11 games (8 starts). The Texas A&M alum is striking out 8.55 batters per 9IP and walking 3.38/9IP. The 22-yr-old is allowing more than a hit per inning with 52 hits in 46.0 innings for an ugly .292 Opp BA. This has pushed his WHIP up to 1.46.

He has started 5 games in a row, picking up 3 wins, a loss, and one ND.
