Monday, June 4th POD goes to Bradley Jones

 

Dunedin’s left-fielder went 3-for-5 with 2 runs scored, one home run, and two RBI while batting 3rd.

 

The 2016 18th round pick singled in the 1st inning with 2-outs and was stranded when Nash Knight grounded into a force out in the next at-bat.

 

His next at-bat came in the 4th inning. Jones reach 1st on a Nathaniel Lowe fielding error. Bradley Jones scored on a 2-out single off the bat of Joshua Palacios. The D-Jays brought 8 batters to the plate and scored 3 runs.

 

After Kevin Smith leadoff the 5th inning and reached on a Lucius Fox error, Bradley Jones sent a 2-1 pitch from Brock Burke over the centerfield wall for his 5th HR of the year and RBI’s 21 and 22.

 

Bradley Jones leadoff the 7th inning with a single to right field but Nash Knight grounded into a double play to erase Jones’ single.

 

The native of Travelers Rest, SC, grounded into a double play in the 9th inning to end his day.

 

Overall, Bradley Jones is batting .246 with a .688 OPS. Jones has 11 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs, and 22 runs batted in.
