On Sunday, June 17th, the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system went a perfect 4-0 on Father’s Day. The C’s earned win #1 and there were several long balls hit in the system.

Buffalo Bisons (33-29)

It is All-Star weekend in the Florida State League; therefore, the D-Jays will be off from Friday until Monday when the open series with St. Lucie with a doubleheader. Congrats to Angel Perdomo, Travis Bergen, and Riley Adams on their selection to the FSL North Division All-Star team.

Sunday, June 17th POD goes to Mc Gregory Contreras

 

The 19-yr-old outfielder was signed July 2nd, 2015 as an International Free Agent out of Venezuela. He’s steadily improved each year since. In his third game of 2018, the talented outfielder blasted a pair of home runs to help Vancouver pick up the first win of the season.

 

Mc Gregory came to the plate in the 6th inning with bases empty and the C’s down 4 to 0. He sent a 3-2 pitch over the left field wall to get the C’s on the board.

 

With the score Vancouver 5 and Eugene 4 in the 9th inning, Contreras stepped to the plate with 2-outs and sent another pitch deep to left field and over for the wall.

 

Mc Gregory Contreras is batting .333 with 3 runs scored, a pair of home runs, and 2-RBI in 3 games. He is one to keep an eye on.

 

Bo and Vlad Show

 

Vladimir Guerrero Jr remains of the 7-day DL and will be shut down for 4-ish weeks.

 

Bo Bichette went 1-for-5 with a run scored, an RB, and a stolen base. Bo is batting .282 with 51 runs, 33-RBI, and 21 stolen bases. He is batting .308 over his last 10 games.
