POD Honorable Mention:

Monday, June 25th POD goes to Cavan Biggio

With Bo Bichette getting love daily in my recap of the Blue Jays minor league system, I figured Cavan Biggio should take the POD instead. Biggio homered in the 1st inning, his 16th, scoring Bo Bichette from 2nd base to give the Cats an early 2 to 0 lead. Biggio singled to right field in the 3rd but was caught attempting to swipe 2nd base.

In the 6th inning, with Bo Bichette at 3rd base after doubling and stealing 3rd base, Cavan Biggio grounded out to 1st base scoring Bo for Cavan’s 3rd RBI of the game. Biggio grounded out in the 8th inning to end his night.

Biggio has struggled in June, seeing his batting average dip from .311 on May 31st to .278 on June 25th. Despite his struggles, Biggio continues to lead the EL with 16 HR, 60 RBI, and 50 BB. Let’s hope that this productive game will help turn Biggio’s June woes around.

Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr remains of the 7-day DL

Bo Bichette went 3-for-4. He scored runs 54, 55, and 56 while hitting doubles 19 and 20. Bichette hit his 7th HR on the year, a two-run shot for RBI’s 39 and 40. Bo Bichette is batting .285 with .809 OPS with the Fisher Cats in 2018.
