Saturday, June 30th POD goes to Joshua Palacios

The D-Jays outfielder did some damage on Saturday despite going 1-for-4. Palacios reached base in the 1st inning on a fielding error but was eventually forced out at 3rd base on a Kevin Smith groundball. He drew a 2-out walk in the 2nd inning but was stranded.

 

In the 4th inning, with the score 2 to 0 for Dunedin, Palacios hit a 2-run double to center. Ivan Castillo and Rodrigo Orozco scored on the play. Palacios scored on Kevin Smith’s 5th FSL double to make the score 5 to 0 D-Jays.

 

Palacios grounded into an inning-ending double play in the 5th and a run-scoring groundout in the 7th inning to end his day.

 

The 22-yr-old outfielder finished with 2 runs scored, a double, and 3-RBI. Overall, Palacios is batting .272 with 11 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs, and 44 RBI while contributing with 10 stolen bases.

 

Bo and Vlad Show

 

Vladimir Guerrero Jr remains of the 7-day DL

 

Bo Bichette went 0-for-3 with 2 strikeouts. Overall, Bo Bichette is .282 with 21 doubles, 5 triples, and 8 HR while driving in 44 runs and stealing 24 bases.
