Sunday, July 1st POD goes to Joshua Palacios

The D-Jays outfielder had a heck of a weekend. He did some damage on Saturday despite going 1-for-4, then had a game to remember on Sunday. Palacios singled to lead off the 1st inning but never left 1st base. He had an infield fly to 3rd base in the 3rd inning and walked in the 5th inning.

 

In the 7th inning, Joshua Palacios came to the with Kacy Clemens on 3rd base (BB), Rodrigo Orozco on 2nd base (single), and Yeltsin Gudino on 1st base (single) with no outs. Palacios sent Blake Cederlind‘s 2-1 pitch over the right-field wall for a grand slam. Bradenton 11 and Dunedin 5.

 

The 22-yr-old outfielder hit a 1-out single in the 8th inning but was stranded.

 

The former 4th round selection finished with a run scored on a grand slam, a pair of singles, a walk, and 4-RBI. Overall, Palacios is batting .279 with 11 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs, and 48 RBI while contributing with 10 stolen bases. He is riding a 6-game hit streak, a 4-game RBI streak, and 8-game on-base streak.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr remains of the 7-day DL

 

Bo Bichette went 0-for-5 with a strikeout and two stolen bases. Overall, Bo Bichette is .278 with 21 doubles, 5 triples, and 8 HR while driving in 44 runs and stealing 26 bases.
