Thursday, July 5th POD goes the Jordan Groshans

 

The Toronto Blue Jays 1st round selection helped the GCL Blue Jays pick up win number 6 with a 4-RBI perfromance. He was hit by a pitch in the 1st inning, flew out in the 3rd inning, and struck out in the 5th, starting his day 0-for-2.

 

With the scored already 7 to 2 Blue Jays, Groshans came to the plate in the 6th inning with 1-out and Leonardo Jimenez on on 3rd base. Groshans singled to right field to push the Blue Jays lead to 8 to 2. An inning later, in the 7th inning, Groshans pushed the Blue Jays lead to 12 to 2 with a 3-RBI double to left field.

 

The 18-yr-old 3rd baseman has 4 doubles, 2 homers, and 18 RBI in his first 11 games. He is batting .400 and with 7 BB and 7 K he owns a .500 OBP while sporting a .650 slugging percentage.

 

Bo and Vlad Show

 

Vladimir Guerrero Jr remains of the 7-day DL.

 

Bo Bichette went 1-for-4 with a double and 3 LOB. Bo is in a bit of  funk which has seen his batting average dip to .269. Over his past 6 games, Bichette has gone 2-for-25 with no walks and 7 strike outs.
