Top Performers:

Sunday, July 15th POD goes to Joshua Palacios.

Palacios has won the POD a couple times, maybe I should tally all the winners up before the end of the year. Unfortunately, Palacios doesn’t get enough attention but he’s produced atop the D-Jays order for much of 2018.

The 22-yr-old Brooklyn, NY native grounded out in his first at-bat. He hit his 15th double to lead off the 3rd inning then stole 3rd base (11) and scored on a throwing error. Palacios led off the 5th inning with a single and scored the games second run on a Kevin Smith ground ball.

The 6-foot-1 outfielder walked to lead off the 7th inning and scored on a Riley Adams groundball to shortstop Diego Castillo. Palacios struck out on three pitches in his final at-bat.

Joshua Palacios finished the game with 3 runs scored, a single and a double, a walk, and two stolen bases. Overall, Palacios is batting .277 with a .733 OPS while hitting 15 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs, 48 runs batted in, and 12 stolen bases. Over the past 10 games, Joshua has batted .270 with 10 hits, 7 runs scored, four walks, two stolen bases, and nine strikeouts.

Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the GCL Blue Jays did not play on Sunday.

Bo Bichette played in the Futures Game and went 1-for-3 while playing SS and batting 2nd. He was joined by fellow Blue Jays prospect Danny Jansen who went 1-for-2, with a 2-run home run (watch home run)
