Player of the Day

Top Performers:

Wednesday, July 25th POD goes to Anthony Alford

The 2018 season has not been kind for the Blue Jays top outfield prospect. AA had a good day at the plate on Wednesday with a home run and a pair of singles while playing LF and batting 6th.

The 24-yr-old hit a one-out solo home run in the 2nd inning over the left field wall to give the Bisons a 2 to 0 lead. He grounded out in the 4th inning but singled in the 6th and 9th inning.

Overall, Alford is batting .224 with 38 runs, 9 doubles, a triple, and 5 HR in 69 games with the Bisons. He is batting .233 over his last 10 games and .225 in July. Here is hoping that August is kinder to Anthony Alford.

Cal Stevenson OBP Streak

Cal Stevenson played in game 2 for Bluefield. He batted leadoff and played LF going 1-for-3, with a pair of runs, a triple, and a walk. The 21-yr-old extended his OBP to 29-games and is batting .349 with a .503 OBP.

Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a strikeout. VGJ is batting .403  with a 1.104 OPS with NH and is batting .389 over his last 10 games.

Bo Bichette is batting .293 over his last 10 games but went 0-for-5 on Tuesday.
