Thursday, August 9th POD goes to Harold Ramirez

It was between Dwight Smith Jr., Otto Lopez, and Ramirez. I wasn’t able to ignore the Colombian’s 4-hit game. Ramirez continues to rip it up in Double-A with a 4-for-5 game that saw him finish with 3 singles and a long ball (10). He also scored 3 runs and drove in a pair (54, 55).

Ramirez singled in the 1st, 4th, and 8th innings, scoring 4th and 8th innings. Harold Ramirez came to bat in the 5th inning with Forrest Wall (single, SB, E) standing on 3rd base and 2-outs. Ramirez watched ball one before jumping on the 1-0 pitch hit, sending over the wall in CF to push the Fisher Cats lead to 4 to 2.

RBI number 54 set a new career high for Ramirez and he is two hits away from setting a new high there as well. With four straight multi-hit games, Ramirez is now batting .321 with 51 runs scored, 30 doubles, 10 HR, and 55 RBI in 96 games. The 23-yr-old OF is batting .429 in his last 10 games.

Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. played 3rd base and batted 3rd for the Bisons. VGJ had another multi-hit game. He hit is 2nd homer, a solo shot, with the Bisons a day after hitting his 1st. Vladdy also collected a single and is batting .462 with the Herd.

Triple-A HR #2

Bo Bichette did not play on Thursday. Santiago Espinal played SS for the Fisher Cats.
