Top Performers:

Friday, August 10th POD goes to Chavez Young

The Lugnuts 21-yr-old outfielder played RF and batted 3rd in Lansing’s 11 to 4 win. Young was instrumental in the victory cashing Reggie Pruitt in from 3rd base with a ground ball out to score the game’s first run in the 1st inning. He walked and scored in the 3rd inning on a wild pitch to put the Lugnuts up 3 to 0.

With the score 4 to 0 for Lansing, Chavez Young hit his 29th double to score Jesus Navarro with the Lugs 5th run. In the 7th inning, Samad Taylor double to lead off (26) and Young followed with his 7th HR of the year depositing a 2-1 pitch over the wall in LF to push Lansing’s lead to 7-1.

Chavez Young is batting an even .300 over his last 10 games with 8 runs scored, 2-HR, 8-RBI, 4-BB, 3-K and 8 stolen bases. In 102 games, Young is slashing .289/.356/.450 with 72 runs scored, 29 doubles, 7-triples, 7-HR, 50-RBI, and 31-SB.

Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is showing some ridiculous power with home runs in three straight games. Vladdy went 1-for-4 with a solo blast. VGJ is batting .433 3-HR, 6-RBI in 10 games in Buffalo.

Three straight

Bo Bichette went hitless in four at-bats with a walk, a stolen base, and a run scored. The 20-yr-old is batting .280 with 80 runs scored, and 29 stolen bases.
