Top Performers:

Wednesday, August 15th POD goes to Mc Gregory Contreras

The Vancouver Canadians 19-yr-old outfielder from Venezuela had a game on Wednesday with three singles, a double, an RBI, and a stolen base. Batting 7th and playing LF, Contreras hit a 1-out double (10) in the 2nd inning and was thrown out at home plate trying to score on a Nick Podkul single.

The 6-foot-1 right-handed bat singled and scored Jesus Severino in the 4th inning to tie the game at 2-2. He singled to center field in the 6th and 8th innings. Contreras has bumped his batting average up from .252 to .274 over the last 10 games by batting .317. He’s hit 10 doubles, 3 triples, 8 HR, and driven in 27 runs while contributing 5 stolen bases. He owns a .318 OBP and .512 slugging percentage.

Important Note

Buffalo’s Billy McKinney has home runs in three straight games. I know that Vlad did it last week and got a lot of attention for doing it but I don’t expect much excitement with Billy accomplishing the same thing. Well done Billy and welcome to the organization. since joining the Bisons, Billy McKinney is batting just .213 in 19 games; however, he has scored 9 runs and hit 3 doubles, 2 triples, and 3 HR while driving 8 runs.

Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. struck out once and went hitless in 5 at-bats for the Bisons.

Bo Bichette was hitless in 5 AB’s with two strikeouts for the Fisher Cats.
