Thursday, August 23rd POD goes to Rodrigo Orozco

The 23-yr-old outfielder continues to swing a hot bat with a pair of hits in five at-bats, including a home run, and three RBI.

Orozco batted 2nd (an excellent spot for his talents) and played RF for the Dunedin Blue Jays. He flew out in his first at-bat but with Kacy Clemens standing at first base and 2-outs in the 3rd inning, Orozco hit his first FSL/D-Jays home run to put the D-Jays up 2 to 0.

The native of Panama City, Panama, grounded out in the 5th and 8th innings. In the 9th inning with Kacy Clemens standing at 3rd base, the 5’11 outfielder singled to RF to push Dunedin’s lead to 4 to 1.

For the season, Rodrigo Orozco is slashing .305/.373/.396 with 64 runs scored, 23 doubles, 3 trips, a home runs, 36 RBI, and 17 SB. He’s batting .405 over his last 10 games is riding a 8-game hit streak and 12-game on-base streak.
