Top Performers:

Friday, August 31st POD goes to Richard Urena

The 22-yr-old Urena hasn’t had a great year in 22018. He’s struggled in Buffalo, spent some time on the disabled list, and struggled to solidify himself a spot on Toronto’s 25-man roster. All that aside, Buffalo’s shortstop and number 6 hitter came up big on Friday.

Urena singled but didn’t score in the 1st inning, a shot off the pitcher which he legged out. His next at-bat was a 4th inning leadoff double (9); unfortunately, the Bisons went down 1-2-3 leaving him stranded at 3rd base.

With the game out of reach, 7 to 2, Richard Urena jumped on the first pitch he saw in the 8th inning from Chris Smith for a 2-run homer to right field.  In 62 game with the Bisons, Urena is batting just .214 with 28 runs scored, 9 doubles, 3 triples, and 5 HR while driving in 28 runs.

Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. returned to the lineup, playing 3rd base and batting 3rd for the Bisons. He picked up a first-inning RBI double (6) putting the Herd on the board 1 to 0. Vlad scored Buffalo’s 2nd run on Anthony Alford’s 22nd double. He finished 1-for-4.

Bo Bichette went hitless with 3 strikeouts.
