Top Performers:

Saturday, September 1st POD goes to Logan Warmoth with Ryan Gold a very close 2nd.

The Blue Jays 2017 1st round selection has not lived up to expectations in 2018. His expectations or the organizations. He struggled with his assignment to the Dunedin Blue Jays. He’s seen Kevin Smith surpass him on the depth chart. He has also struggled to remain on the field. Fortunately, Logan is a very talented kid and is finishing the season off with a bang. On Saturday, Warmoth went 4-for-5 with a run scored, a double, two RBI, and three stolen bases.

The 22-yr-old infielder played 2nd base and batted 2nd for the Dunedin Blue Jays. He singled in the 1st inning but didn’t score. In the 3rd inning, Logan leadoff with a single, then stole 2nd base (7) and scored on Riley Adams‘ single. Dunedin 2 to 1.

In the 4th inning, Logan Warmoth followed Joshua Palacios‘ 2-RBI triple with an RBI double (12) pushing the lead to 5-1 for the D-Jays. Warmoth swiped third base with Riley Adams at the plate but failed to score.

He picked up his 4th hit in the 7th inning with a 2-out RBI single to drive in Nash Knight. He stole 2nd base with Kevin Smith at the plate but Smith ended the inning with a strikeout.

Warmoth is batting .241 with a .627 OPS in 74 FSL games. He is batting .359 over his last 10 games.

Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. returned to the lineup, playing 3rd base and batting 3rd for the Bisons. He singled in the 5th, 7th, and 9th innings but did not score once. Vladdy is now batting .343 with the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons.

Bo Bichette played SS and batted 2nd of the Fisher Cats on Saturday. He singled in the 1st and 8th innings. Bo grounded into a double play in the 6th which was the only inning the Cats threatened. Bichette is batting .289 and owns a .802 OPS in 129 games with the Double-A Fisher Cats.
