On Sunday, September 2nd, the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system 1 for 5. Bluefield saw their season come to an end and the Vancouver Canadians were bumped for the playoffs thanks to an ugly final week of the season.

Sunday, September 2nd POD goes to Harold Ramirez

 

The Fisher Cats outfielder played RF and batted 5th. He went 2-for-2 with a pair of singles, a run batted in, a pair of walks, a stolen base, and two runs scored. Harold put the Cats on the board with a 1st inning single which scored Jon Berti who walked to open the bottom half of the frame.

 

In his next at-bat, Ramirez opened the bottom of the 4th with a single to left field and scored on a Patrick Cantwell single to tie the game up at 3’s. Ramirez walked in the 5th and scored on Juan Kelly’s 3-run HR to push the Fisher Cats to a 6 to 5 lead. In his final at-bat, he walked for the second time in the 7th inning and stole his 16th base of the season.

 

The 23-yr-old has done a great job in 2018 and has re-established himself as a Top Prospect. He is batting .320 with 60 runs scored, 37 doubles, 11 HR, 70 RBI, and 16 SB in 120 GP.

 

Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. only had one hit in four at-bats, hitting a solo home run, his 6th home run with the Bisons. VGJ owns a .340 batting average in 29 Triple-A games. The 19-yr-old phenom is batting .325 over his last 10 games.

Bo Bichette DH’ed on Sunday and batted 3rd for the Fisher Cats. Bo went 0-for-5.
