Player of the Day

Wednesday, April 10th POD goes to Ryan Hissey

The 25-yr-old catcher spent much of the 2018 season either serving as a backup or on the injured list. With Max Pentecost retired and Patrick Cantwell promoted to Buffalo, Ryan Hissey has a chance to get more regular at-bats in 2019.

Hissey got the start behind the plate on Wednesday. He was 0-for-3 with a strikeout heading into the bottom of the 9th inning with New Hampshire down 4 to 2. A fielding error allowed Brandon Grudzielanek to reach base, followed by a  Forrest Wall infield pop out. Grudzielanek stole 2nd base. Hissey sent a 1-2 pitch over the right-field wall for a 2-run homer, knotting the game up at 4-4.

Joshua Palacios eventually won it for the Cats cashing Vinny Capra in from 2nd base with a single.

Ryan Hissey is batting .300 with a HR, 2-RBI, BB, 4-K, and a stolen base in 3 games.

The Bo and Vlad Show

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is heading up to Buffalo.

Bo Bichette and the Bisons were postponed due to weather.
