On Tuesday, April 16th, the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system went a perfect 5-0 with the Bisons taking both ends of a doubleheader.

Tuesday, April 16th POD goes to Nick Allgeyer

 

The 2018 12th round selecti0n is having a very good first month as a member of the Dunedin Blue Jays. In his previous 2 starts, Allgeyer struck out 13 batters over 9.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits and no walks.

 

The 6-foot-3 lefty threw 52 of his 74 pitches for strikes, getting 5 groundball outs and 6 flyball outs. He allowed a single in the first, second, and third innings, surrendering just one extra-base hit which came in the 5th inning. His first free pass of 2019 came in the 3rd inning after surrendering a 2-out single.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. played in game 1 of the Buffalo Bisons’ doubleheader. Vladdy went 0-for-3 while playing 3rd and playing 3rd base. Guerrero is batting .385 with the Bisons.

 

Bo Bichette played both games of the doubleheader, playing SS and batting leadoff. In game 1 Bo went 1-for-3 with a walk and a pair of stolen bases. In game 2, Bichette went 1-for-3 with a run scored, a double, an RBI, and a strikeout. Bichette is now batting .234 with a .637 OPS.
