Top Performers:

Player of the Day

Tuesday, June 18th POD goes to Joshua Palacios

The 23-yr-old outfielder was activated from the IL on May 29th, missing over a month. Palacios went 0-for-3 in his return but has batted .283 with 3 doubles, and 1HR with a .389OBP and .413SLG in June.

Batting 3rd for just the 2nd time and playing CF for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Palacios collected 3 hits, including a double, and scored two runs. Joshua picked up a 2-out single in the 1st inning to extend the frame. He scored off a Riley Adams double to give the Fisher Cats an early 1-0 lead.

Leading off the 6th inning, Palacios punched a double (5) to CF. He advanced to 3rd base on a Riley Adams groundball out and scored went Brock Lundquist grounded out as well. NH 2 and Ponies 5.

Santiago Espinal hit a 1-out double in the 8th but was caught trying to steal 3rd base which was unfortunate as Joshua Palacios singled to LF following the failed SB attempt.

Palacios should continue to hit near the top of the Fisher Cats order for the remainder for the 2019 season. In 25 games, Palacios owns a .253 batting average and .742OPS while collecting 5 doubles, and a pair of home runs. He’s driven in 9RBI, scoring 15 runs, and stealing 7 bases.

The Bo Bichette and Griffin Conine Show

Bo Bichette played SS and batted first for the Bisons. Bo went 1-for-4 with an RBI. He is batting .239 with a .712OPS, 4 doubles, a triple, 2HR, and 10RBI in Triple-A. Bichette is batting just .222 with a .708OPS in 4 games since returning to the Bisons.

Griffin Conine and Lugnuts are enjoying a few days off before the All-Star game. Conine is batting average to .353 with 29 strikeouts in 18 games.
