Player of the Day
Tuesday, June 25th POD goes to Jake Brodt
The 23-yr-old 1st baseman has struggled to hit for average in June, batting below .200 for the month. Well, he managed to collect a pair hit, a single and a home run, to help the Lugnuts pick up a win.
Batting 6th and playing 1st base, Brodt homered in the 2nd inning, a solo bomb to LF to put the Lugnuts on the board. He lined out and popped up in his next two at-bats but finished his day with a single.
The 2nd inning home run was his first since June 4th. The two hits were his first multi-hit game since June 7th. Getting Brodt’s bat going again would be a big boost to a struggling Lugnuts offense. Overall, Jake Brodt is batting .261 with 24 runs, 12 doubles, 2 triples, 9 HR, and 37 RBI.
The Bo Bichette and Griffin Conine Show
Bo Bichette did not play. He is batting .357 over his last 10 games and .295 in 25 Triple-A games. He has 7 doubles, a triple, 3HRs, 17 runs scored, and 7SB.
Griffin Conine played RF and batted 3rd. Conine went hitless in 5 at-bats whiffing 3x. Griffin is batting .318 but only .167 with 17K over his last 10 games.

Lover of all things Toronto Blue Jays. Blue Jays MiLB fanatic. I strive for average while stumbling onto above average. Rogers isn’t cheap. Baseball is a business. Your right, but I’m more right.
