Top Performers:

Player of the Day

Monday, July 1st POD goes to Samad Taylor

The Dunedin Blue Jays 2nd baseman went 2-for-4 with a pair of HRs. The 20-yr-old Taylor has found FSL pitching a little harder to figure out than Midwest League pitching, batting .195 with 11 doubles, two triples, and one HR heading Monday’s action.

Samad hit a 2-run shot over the LF wall, scoring Chavez Young and giving the D-Jays a 4 to 0 lead. He went deep for his 3rd HR in the 6th inning, a solo shot, giving the D-Jays a 5 to 0 lead.

It was just his 6th multi-hit game of 2019. Taylor is batting just .206 over his last 10 games and just .202 with a .655OPS in 58 games with Dunedin.

The Bo Bichette and Griffin Conine Show

Bo Bichette had a good day at the plate, going 2-for-5 with a run scored, and RBI, a stolen base, and a strikeout. The 21-yr-old SS is batting .410 over the past 10 games with 7 stolen base and 9 runs scored. In 32 games with the Bisons, Bichette is batting .298 with a .830OPS

Griffin Conine went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a walk. The Lansing’s RF has collected hits in his last 4 games pushing his batting average from .306 to .314. He has 6 doubles, 22RBI, and a 1.038OPS in 28 games.
