Buffalo Bisons (11-14, 5th)

The RailRiders to the Bisons, 5-2 for their 6th loss in the past 10.


At the Plate

Buffalo scored 2 runs on 7 hits, while committing one error.

Leadoff hitter Alexi Casilla and Casey Kotchman drove in the Bisons runs with Domonic Brown being the only Buffalo batter with 2 hits.

Jesus Montero, Junior Lake and David Adams each chipped in with one single each.

Jon Berti picked up his second stolen base, while Brown and Andy Burns were both caught stealing.


On the Mound

Roberto Hernandez allowed a home run and 3 runs on 3 hits over 5 innings.

Chad Jenkins had a rough outing giving up 2 runs on 2 hits over 1.2IP.

Pat McCoy and David Aardsma combined to pitch 2.1 shutout innings to finish the game for the Herd.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats  (9-14, 5th)

It seems to me that there’s been a lot of extra inning games played on the farm this season. NH took game 2 from Reading winning 4-3 in 10 innings, after dropping game one 2-3.


At the Plate

The Fisher Cats scored 4 runs on 11 hits, committing one error.

All NH batters, but K.C. Hobson, collected at least one hit in the victory. Matt Dean and Ian Parmley collected 2-hits with each hit a double.

Dwight Smith Jr., Dean, and Hobson drove in the Fisher Cats runs.


On the Mound

Casey Lawrence allowed 2 runs, one unearned, on 5 hits over 6 innings.

Daniel Schlereth allowed a run on 2 hits in 0.2IP. John Stilson and Murphy Smith pitched 3.1 shut out innings in relief.

Dunedin Blue Jays  (11-14, 4th)

Well the D-Jays keep losing. The Manatees rough up the Blue Jays 2-7 for their 7th loss in a row. During the losing streak Dunedin has been outscored 21 to 55 by their opponents.


At the Plate

Richard Urena was perfect, going 4-for-4, received little help for his friends.

Anthony Alford had another bad day with another 4 strike outs, that’s 8 strike outs in two games.

L.B. Dantzler, Jason Leblebijian, Mike Reeves, Dickie Joe Thon and Derrick Loveless each had one hit with Reeves and Loveless driving in runs.

Thon and Reeves also collected a stolen base each in the loss.


On the Mound

Kyle Westwood took his third loss, allowing 3 home runs for 6 strike outs over 6.0 innings.

Jose Fernandez pitched one no-hit inning and Bo Schultz allowed one unearned run with two K’s in his inning of relief.

The Lugnut batters were shutout despite collecting 7 hits.

Andrew Guillotte and Lane Thomas each collected 2 hits a piece with Ryan Hissey, Carl Wise and Aaron Attaway chipping in with singles.


On the Mound

Conor Fisk pitched 5 shutout innings with a walk and 5 strike outs.

Josh DeGraaf took his first loss, allowing 3 runs on 2 home runs in 3.1IP.

Dan Lietz finished the game with 0.2IP of one hit relief.
