Buffalo Bisons (11-15, 6th)

The Bisons drop their second in a row and are 4-6 in their past 10 games with a 6-4 loss to Scranton/WB.

At the Plate

Buffalo scored a run in the 3rd and 6th and two in the 5th on 8 hits.

Alexi Casilla and Jon Berti collected 2-hits, with Berti connecting on his first home run with the Bisons. Speaking of home runs, Andy Burns connected on his 2nd home run in the 5th, tying the game at 3-3. An inning later, Berti put the Bisons up 4-3 with his first HR.

Arnold Leon, Chris Leroux, and Ben Rowen allowed 6 runs on 14 hits. Leon allowed 2 runs, Leroux allowed 3 runs, and Rowen allowed a run.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats  (9-15, 6th)

NH dropped the 3rd game of a 4 games series with Reading. Reading has dominated the Fisher Cats in the early parts of the season, winning 4 of 6 meetings.

At the Plate

Shane Opitz drove in all three run with a double. Wilkin Castillo and Jorge Flores each collected 2 hits, as the Fisher Cats could only muster 5 hits in the defeat.

Ian Parmley stole his 6th base and Flores stole his second.

On the Mound

Jason Berken (L, 0-5) continues to search for his first win. Berken walked 3 and struck out while allowing 3 runs on 3 hits over 5 innings.

Brady Dragmire and Danny Barnes struck out 5 over 3 no-hit innings, but it was too late.

Lansing Lugnuts  (14-10, 2nd)

The Lansing Luguts lost have lost 8-2 to Cedar Rapids. Lansing lost the series as well and have dropped 2 games in a row.


At the Plate

Lansing could only get 2 runs on 8 hits. They scored a run in the 4th and a run in the 6th.

Carl Wise, Connor Panas and Justin Atkinson each had 2-hit games, with Wise and Atkinson hitting the only extra base hits for Lansing.

Jacob Anderson and Panas drove in the runs for Lansing, despite Anderson going hitless.

Ryan Hissey and Gunnar Heidt picked up the other hits for the Lugnuts.


On the Mound

Ryan Cook was roughed up for 5 runs on 7 hits. Starlyn Suriel didn’t fare much better, allowing 3 runs, two unearned, on two hits over 2.1IP.

Juan Pierre pitched 2 innings of one-hit relief with no walks or strike outs, but still owns a 0.00ERA.
