Buffalo Bisons (18-21, 6th)

The Herd were roughed up 7-1 by the Toledo Mud Hens.


At the Plate

Buffalo scored a run in the first, but were unable to get anything going the rest of the day.

Dalton Pompey, Alexi Casilla, Matt Dominguez, and Domonic Brown each collected 2-hits. All singles.

Casilla swiped 2 bases, and Pompey swiped one. 


On the Mound

Wade LeBlanc was solid again on Tuesday, allowing one unearned run over 6.1 innings. Wade walked 2 and struck out 6 while allowing 7 hits and lowing his ERA to 1.64ERA.

Bo Schultz allowed 3 runs (2ER), registering just one out. Bobby Korecky allowed 3 runs (2ER) in 1.1IP and Colt Hynes struck out the only batter he faced.

Player Movement: Andy Burns and Dustin Antolin returned to Bisons. Pat Venditte called up to Toronto.


New Hampshire Fisher Cats  (18-19, 4th)

New Hampshire lost their second game in a row with a 3-5 loss to Portland.


At the Plate

The Fisher Cats scored 3 runs on 7 hits, with a run in the 1st and 2 in the 9th.

Rowdy Tellez and Jorge Saez collected 2-hits each with Saez hitting his 1st bomb and drove in 2-runs.

Dwight Smith Jr. appears to heating up. He’s hit safely in three game and is hitting .324 over the past week and a half. He drove in his team leading 19th RBI in the loss.

Lead-off hitter, Roemon Fields, swiped his 13th base and scored his team leading 17th run.


On the Mound

John Anderson took the loss, allowing 3 runs over 6 innings. Anderson threw 94 pitches, with 58 strikes, while inducing 11 ground ball outs and 3 fly ball outs.

John Stilson allowed 2 runs, snapping a string of 11.1 shut out innings.

Daniel Schlereth struck out 2 of the 3 batters he faces in the 8th.

Dunedin Blue Jays  (16-23, 5th)

Thanks to some strong pitching, Dunedin was able to snap a 3 game losing streak, 4-0.


At the Plate

Rehabbing second baseman, Devon Travis, lead the way for the Blue Jays with two hits and three 2-out RBI.

Derrick Loveless hit his first triple to drive in the other D-Jays run. Mike Reeves scored two runs and Emilio Guerrero had two hits for the Blue Jays.


On the Mound

Francisco Rios was able to put his rough debut behind him with an outstanding 7 inning shutout of the Miracle. Rios allowed 2 hits, no walks and 6 strike outs to lower his ERA to 2.92.

Rehabbing left-hander Aaron Loup walked 2 and struck out one in 0.2IP. He wasn’t sharp, but didn’t allow a hit.

Carlos Ramirez converted his 3rd save, allowing one hit over 1.1 innings.

Lansing Lugnuts  (18-17, 6th)

The Lugnuts have dropped 3 of their past 4 games with a 3-4 loss to Fort Wayne.


At the Plate

Lansing out hit the TinCaps, 9-6, going 2-for-8 with RISP. Every Lugnut in the starting lineup collected one hit with Kelly hitting his 3rd HR and Aaron Attaway picking up his 3 double.

Andrew Guillotte, Gunnar Heidt, and of course Kelly each collected an RBI.

Josh Almonte stole his 5th base and Heidt stole his team leading 11th and 12th bases.


On the Mound

Starter Tayler Saucedo (L, 1-5) allowed 4 runs on 5 hits. Saucedo needed 85 pitches to get throw 6.2 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Saucedo allowed one run over his first 5 innings before running into trouble in the 6th where he allowed 3 runs.

Starlyn Suriel came on in the 7th with a runner on. Suriel allowed one hit, struck out one in 1.1 inning of relief to lower his ERA to 2.05.
