The Toronto Blue Jays are all about Food, Fashion, Family and Fun (while beating the Angels in the California sun) this week!
We scoured social media to bring you the best the internet has to offer with this collection of Blue Jays Social Media Buzz.
A Moment of Reflection
Baseball commemorated the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in a variety of ways – from jet flyovers, moments of silence and large displays on the field. Danny Barnes was a little more low-key than that.

Team Photos
Twice a year like clockwork MLB has picture day. No word if the members of the Jays were each handed one of those little black combs before this group photo.

Aside from that baseball field in the middle, Rogers Centre also boasts a pretty fantastic scoreboard. A few lucky folks (winners from a past JaysCare auction) got to play video games with Russell Martin on it recently (shameless MLB The Show 2014 product placement aside – LOL).
.@russellmartin55 isn't just great at baseball, but he's a video game pro too. #NationalVideoGamesDay pic.twitter.com/ZYEOfG3GoB

#PonleAcento
That means put and accent on it. Major League Baseball is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in September with several initiatives, including their “accent mark” campaign which includes adding an accent mark to the MLB logo and the debut of its first bilingual commercial. Proud Mexican Robert Osuna showed his country pride on Instagram:
The Apple Doesn’t Fall Too Far…
SportsNet’s Barry Davis seems to have a little obsession with Joe Biagini. How can you not? As a reporter the quirky reliever is a goldmine for color stories and quotes. Well, it seems Joe may come across his humor genetically.
I met Biagini's parents, who are here in Anaheim. Said to his dad, "you must be proud of your son". His reply: So far. Like father like son

Biagini's dad drove here from Bay area. I ask: "In a car Joe bought you?" His reply "we're still trying to get him off our cell phone plan"

Fashion Do or Don’t?
Ever the loving son, Marcus Stroman treated his mom to a lovely Italian meal at Toca in Toronto’s Ritz Carlton

He posted a photo with the chef on Insta afterward.
As well as tweeting this custom menu from the staff and more photos from the evening:

He was also spotted out on the town with Ryan Goins and Kevin Pillar at a charity event recently. I’m hoping this was just one busy night on the town for the energetic pitcher, otherwise GASP, he’s recycling outfits!!! (I’m of the opinion that if you find a look that works, but you know, the fashionistas might not be so kind…).

California Dreaming
Jason Grilli spent a little time in Anaheim with the sand betwixt his toes
And Stroman enjoyed those chill Cali vibes with Devon Travis.
Love the vibes on the West Coast. Breakfast with my guys! @DeVoTrAv #LA

She was born in Reds country, but “found” baseball watching the 1986 Mets win the World Series. A long-time Pittsburgh Pirates fan, she added the Blue Jays as her AL team the day they picked up Russell Martin. She lives in Marietta, Ohio, with her family, who all share her passion for baseball. She loves the suicide squeeze, a crisp 6-4-3 double play and catchers. When not obsessing over baseball, Joy likes to work out, travel and drink wine.
