Wednesday, June 20th POD goes to Connor Panas
Connor Panas went 2-for-4 with three runs scored, a home run, three runs batted in, and a walk.
The former 9th round pick hit a 0-1 pitch over the right-field wall for a 2-run shot in the 2nd inning.
Panas grounded out in the 3rd and 7th innings. He walked and scored in the 5th inning.
The 25-yr-old native of Toronto singled in the 10th inning, scoring Andrew Guillotte from 2nd base to put the Fisher Cats up 9 to 8. He crossed home plate two batters later on a Jon Berti double.
Panas has struggled for much of the year. He is batting .224 with 19 runs, 9 doubles, a triple, and 3 home runs.
Bo and Vlad Show
Vladimir Guerrero Jr remains of the 7-day DL and will be shut down for 4-ish weeks.
Bo Bichette played short and batted 3rd in the Fisher Cats lineup, going 2-for-6 with a run scored and double. Over Bichette’s last 10 games he is batting .300 with 7 runs scored, 1-HR, 7-RBI, and 6 stolen bases.
