Tuesday, July 17th POD goes to Zech Logue
Logue came in the 2nd inning after a single inning of Roberto Osuna. He threw 57 of 89 pitches for strikes while getting three groundball outs and eight flyball outs.
The 22-yr-old got the first two batters out of the 2nd inning before hitting Garrison Schwartz and a Vladdy error which allowed Isranel Wilson. Marcus Mooney flew out to Joshua Palacios to end the inning.
After allowing a single in the 3rd inning, which was erased with pick off, Zach Logue retired the next 13 batters before being lifted in the 9th inning for Anderson Nunez.
Another quality start-ish by the former 9th round selection. He’s made 10 appearances in Dunedin with a 6 and 2 record and 3.05 ERA. He has 40 strikeouts and 13 walks in 59 innings while surrendering 56 hits for a 1.17 WHIP. Overall, Logue has a 9 and 3 record and 2.87 ERA in 19 games across 113.0 innings.
Bo and Vlad Show
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. played 3rd base and batted 3rd for the Dunedin Blue Jays on Tuesday. He went 2-for-4, with a run scored, a double, and 2-RBI. Vladdy put the D-Jays up 3 to 0 scoring Alberto Mineo and Joshua Palacios.
Bo Bichette played in the Futures Game and will likely get the entire All-Star week off.
