Monday, August 6th POD goes to Brock Lundquist
The 22-yr-old outfielder for the Dunedin Blue Jays is white hot and he’s been that way since arriving in the Florida State League. The former 6th round selection of the Blue Jays went 4-for-4 with a run scored in Monday’s loss. He played left field and batted clean up for the D-Jays.
The 5-foot-11 left-handed batter hit a 2nd inning leadoff single to right field but the D-Jays were retired in order after that with Chad Spanberger popping out to 1st base in his first Advanced-A at-bat. Lundquist picked up another single in the 4th inning, another one to RF, with Kevin Smith on 1st base. Smith scored on a fielding error to get the D-Jays on the board. Brock advanced to 3rd base on Spanberger’s 1st career FSL hit, single, but failed to score thanks to a Riley Adams inning-ending double play.
Brock Lundquist singled to center field for the 3rd time with 1-out in the 6th inning and scored on a Kacy Clemens ground ball out to pull the D-Jays to within one run, 3 to 4. In Lundquist’s final at-bat, he singled to center field but failed to score.
Lundquist is batting .476 over his last 10 games, scoring 10 runs. He’s belted 3 HR and pushed 8 runs across the plate during that time. In 28 games with the D-Jays, Brock Lunquist is batting .383 with 18 runs, four doubles, four HR, and 16 RBI while walking 10 times and striking out 17.

Lover of all things Toronto Blue Jays. Blue Jays MiLB fanatic. I strive for average while stumbling onto above average. Rogers isn’t cheap. Baseball is a business. Your right, but I’m more right.
