Player Spotlight
Today we turn our attention to Buffalo’s Samad Taylor.
Playing 2nd base and batting 7th, the 23-yr-old Taylor delivered the big blow of the game with his first Triple-A home run. After Nick Podkul, Nathan Lukes, Vinny Capra, Gabriel Moreno, and Joshua Fuentes reached base in consecutive plate appearances. Cullen Large and LJ Talley struck out with the bases loaded. Taylor stepped to the plate and took three straight balls before Jace Fry worked the count full. Samad sent the 7th pitch of the at-bat over the wall in left-center field, clearing the bases with a grand slam.
In 22 at-bats, Samad Taylor is batting .182 with a .721OPS, a home run, 7RBI, and 4 stolen bases.
