The system went 6 and 1.

Buffalo- GM1- The Red Wings scored 3 runs on 6 hits while the Herd managed 2 runs on 7 hits. Samad Taylor was the only member of the Bisons with 2-hits. GM2- Buffalo rebounded to avoid the doubleheader sweep with a big 8-run 3rd which Gabriel Moreno got going with a 2-run double. Andrew Vasquez and Graham Spraker stopped (2.2IP, 5K) the Red Wings after Shaun Anderson allowed 4 runs over 4.1IP.

New Hampshire- GM1- NH scored 2 runs in each of the 1st and 2nd innings with Tanner Morris and Orelvis Martinez hitting solo homers in the 1st. Zac Cook added a solo shot, his 1st Double-A HR, in the 4th. GM2- NH completed the double-dip sweep with an impressive display of offense and pitching. Nick Fraze and Hayden Juenger combined to hold the Yard Goats off the board, surrendering just 3 hits. Martinez and Cook hit another home run in this contest and Sebastian Espino chipped in with his 2nd HR (3-run HR).

Vancouver- The C’s came out on top of a well-pitched game. Vancouver pitchers did not issue a walk while striking out 8 batters over 7IP. Miguel Hiraldo tied the game in the 2nd with hit 1st HR as a member of the Canadians. Riley Tirotta brought Zach Britton home with a single to CF in the 3rd which turned out to be the winning run. GM2- The C’s swept the Dust Devils on Friday but this one needed 10 innings and a mighty swing from PK Morris. With the bases loaded, PK cracked a 1-2 pitch over the fence in right CF to score Hugo Cardona, Zach Britton, and Leo Jimenez. Alex Nolan and Gabriel Ponce were unhittable in the middle frames of this contest with four no-hit innings, walking a pair, and striking out eight.

Dunedin- Ricky Tiedemann picked up win #2 with 5 shutout innings. Damiano Palmegiani collected his 3rd deep fly while driving 4 runs. Dasan Brown showed off his elite speed with 3 stolen bases, scoring twice.

Player Spotlight

Today we turn our attention to Tanner Morris.

In Game 1, Tanner Morris played 3rd base and batting leadoff for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. He wasted little time making an impact on the game, jumping all over the first pitch he saw for his 2nd home run of the season. Tanner also drew a walk in the game, finishing 1-for-2 with a run scored, a home run, an RBI, and a walk.

In Game 2, Tanner was back atop the Fisher Cats batting order but manning the keystone. Morris jumped on the first pitch again, singling to RF, and scored on Orelvis Martinez’s 2nd HR of the day. Morris set the table for a big inning in the 3rd with a leadoff walk and scored on Sebastian Espino’s 2nd home run, 5-0. Morris singled in the 4th. In the 6th, Tanner singled to drive in Steward Berroa, who tripled ahead of him.

The 24-yr-old native of Crozet, VA., finished the doubleheader day 4-for-5, 3 runs scored, 2 runs batted in, 2 walks, and a home run.

In 22 at-bats, Tanner is batting .409 with a 1.249OPS, 2 home runs, 4RBI, and 1 stolen base.
